About my experience, because the Ming-chi institute of technology defined all the students have to live in the dormitory, since I entered the five-year junior college until I graduated, I had lived in the dormitory for five years except the holidays.
It’s good to live at home, your brothers, sisters and parents will take care of you, you don’t need to worry about anything, including money and eating, although sometimes you might feel illiberality.
The advantage of living in the dormitory is you can make many close friends, because you all live together almost everyday, play and prepare for the exams with the classmates, they are just like you brother or sister, help and take care of each other.
And you don’t need to take the populace transportation everyday, it wastes too much time, you can use the time to sleep or study. Moreover, the power rate and water rate are cheaper than home, it’s all included in the tuition. The only drawback of living in the dormitory that I think is you could be lonesome for your family sometimes.
I thought each people all should have the experience for living in the dormitory, it let you learn how to stay independently, it’s very important. We can’t always stay at home, we can’t always wish our parents prepare everything for us. One day everyone must face such life after all.
